Each country has its own way of hunting. Specifically, in Spain and the United Kingdom, red-legged partridge driven hunt is very popular but both have different forms of hunting. For that reason, we want to give you some shooting tips if you want to practice driven hunt in either of the two countries.

MAIN SHOOTING TIPS AND IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES

Shooting is an art and here in Spain, we have a specific way to do it. Probably due to our climate conditions, the landscapes and our lifestyle traditions which makes us different.

There are some important characteristics when you go hunting in Spain and the United Kingdom:

  1. In Spain, hunting is considered a sport, so, hunters are very competitive between them. In the other hand, the main reason British people go hunting is just for having a good time.
  2. Guns: Spanish hunters use automatic ejectors, British hunters don´t. Also, the most common number of guns used in driven hunt are 12 or 14 in Spain, while hunters in the United Kingdom commonly use 8 guns.
  3. The main difference you should know between both countries is that we have different landscapes. That defines the way we practice driven hunting in Spain.
  4. Due to the high number of sun hours we have in Spain, we usually finish the hunting day later than British people.

Although, not all are differences: the hunters are usually accompanied by dogs in both countries.

These characteristics and shooting tips show how different we are. Two countries, two cultures and two ways of executing the same passion: hunting.
